President Message
Dear Members,
I hope my letter finds you in the best of health and spirits.
“You honor whom, You will and You humble whom, You will”, (Surah Al Imran 3:26)
First of all, I take this opportunity to bow my head to Allah All Mighty for bestowing this spectacular win, His continued blessings upon me and then conveying thanks to the esteemed members of Karachi Gymkhana, for giving me an opportunity to serve this Club as a President, yet again, and for the fourth time.
As you know that since 2022, our like-minded have been winning elections from largest margin to being elected unopposed. Since the beginning of this winning streak, we have strived tirelessly to restore the glory of this Club. During all this time, many joined, while few departed our struggle, leaving you to choose clearly between the Black OR White, without any Grey.
After 2022, through a very intense and consistent efforts, we successfully purged Karachi Gymkhana of the malicious trend of mudslinging the opponents and a decent trend of tolerance was introduced. The Club was made what it was meant to be. A place to merry and relax. But conversely and regretfully, this all was again attempted to be reversed, recently. While the consecutive wins humbled us, it got into the head of few. Slander, defamation and false accusations were again made the trend of the day and were hurled upon us by our opponents. The opponents, who presumed themselves larger than this beautiful member community, assumed to malign and falsely humiliate their co-members as their birth right. We still, for the sake of the decorum of this Club and its traditions, opted to exercise restraint and refused the temptation of a tit for tat. God sent as you were, no one could have cast such people and such trends aside, more decisively than you and precisely the same was accomplished through the dispensation of your vote on 11 January 2026.
As decisive as it was, the elections are over and gone is bygone. The malicious and mendacious campaign unleashed against us bore no good to our opponent. We believe that one can’t get even and get ahead at the same time. So we decide to get ahead and look forward to the CONSOLIDATION of our previous years works. We plan to concentrate on our collective wellbeing, without being entangled into unnecessary jabbering. However, this should not be taken as our weakness or an inability to deal with the menace. We strongly convey that any resurgence of malicious campaign, as observed recently, will be addressed firmly and the initiator will face decisive and prompt action in accordance with the disciplinary code, outlined in the club rules. Our commitment and resolve to the Club discipline will be firm and unwavering and should not be called into question.
Finally, the happy times begin and we look forward to a wonderful year ahead, filled with fun and excitement. I humbly request our worthy members, irrespective of their affiliation, to support us in areas where our position is well founded and offer their guidance, where refinement may be required. We affirm our commitment to engage with all in a spirit, free of any prejudice and partiality.
